It's that time again folks! UBCSCC's annual Slush Series is here! The only off-season championship series of its kind where all-season tires can actually beat R-Comps, wearing less for weight reduction will probably freeze you, and loads of free undercarriage car washes on-course! In all seriousness, it is the ideal series for driving in a wide-range of weather conditions and also to compete for your chance to win some wonderful prizes from our sponsors!
2011-12 UBCSCC Slush Series Info Page - It all starts here. Please have a look and also decide which of the 4 classes you want to compete in (Top Gun, Novice, Index, and Street Tire Index)
BY REGISTERING, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU HAVE READ AND AGREE TO ALL CONDITIONS OF THE SUPPLEMENTAL REGULATIONS. Any violations of these regulations will result in an immediate end to your day - please read BEFORE signing up.
Please note that this event is capped at 80 drivers plus exec team members. Pre-registration via Karelo is mandatory. As outlined in the supplemental regulations, there will be no cancellations/refunds or driver substitutions - if you are not sure you can attend, please do not pre-register.
There is absolutely ZERO TOLERANCE for any burnouts, reckless driving, or loud stereos on Ford Road at any time. Anyone caught breaking this rule will be immediately, and permanently, banned from all 3 local autocross clubs without warning. Registration check-in closes at 8:45am sharp.
Please ensure you bring your vehicle to a complete stop and look both directions at the break in the fence in the driveway, to ensure no planes are approaching.
Good luck from all of us in your UBCSCC Executive Team!

Updates:
So they started paving on Monday and won't be done by Sunday BUT we're going to rent out half the JIBC side, so it's going to be a 1.5 pad event
So here's what we're going to do, we'll drop the entry fee by $5 (everyone on the list above this post will be given the early bird pricing plus the $5 discount), and keep the max at 80 participants.
For those on the list, you'll have a separate Karelo event to sign up under. I will contact you directly to let you know where to sign up, and you will be reserved a spot. There'll be a general Karelo event opened up for the remaining spots afterwards.
Karelo won't be up until I'm out of class this afternoon, so everyone should hear from me by 4pm.
Any other questions/comments feel free to contact me.

Hi everyone,
I know you were expecting registration to open sometime today but we’ve decided not to open sign up on Karelo yet and I’ll explain why:
Recently BCDC and JIBC have decided to handle booking of their individual facilities separately, and while we have the BCDC side for Slush 7, we needed to speak to JIBC about the other pad. Usually they’d be able to confirm a month in advance, but in this is a special case because the west end/ gravel surface of the pad is going to be paved some point in the next few weeks and they won’t be sure when until early next week.
As things stand I’m not comfortable opening registration on Karelo for several reasons (our refund policy, forcing those who only want to run a single pad into running a double pad if we collect the difference, etc.) so here’s what we can do.
We’ll have a sign up list in this thread for those who will be attending Slush 7 on March 25th regardless of whether it is a single or double pad event. When we do open registration on Karelo I will block spots for everyone on this list, so they can register for the event. The list will be capped at 60 participants (just in case it is a single pad event).
If you have any questions or concerns please direct them to me either via PM or e-mail (steph@ubcscc.com) I’m sorry about all the hassle but I think this is the most fair option
