Hi members,

I just signed up and now need to buy a helmet (M2000 or SA2000), can anyone tell me what the difference is between the two and where I might be able to purchase one at a reasonable price.

Thanks, John.

John,

Loaner helmets are available at all UBCSCC events if you want to try an event or two first.

Snell SA Rated Helmets:
Snell "SA" (Sports Application) rated professional helmets are designed for auto racing and provide extreme impact resistance and higher fire protection.

Snell M Rated Helmets:
Snell "M" (Motorcycle) rated helmets are designed for motorcycling and other motorsports. They offer slightly less protection than SA rated helmets.

http://www.driversedgeautosport.com/ is a good place to start.

Ok .....I'll use a loaner first time out then.
Thanks for the info on helmet rating and the lead on where to buy one.
Looking forward to coming out to some of the events.
