This event is held under the applicable rules outlined in the 2012 CACC Solosprint Regulations and CACC General Competition Regulations (GCR). Copies are available online at http://www.caccautosport.org/

EVENT DESCRIPTION
This event is designed for a driver to improve and test their car handling skills at speeds higher than Autoslalom speeds. The event is four timed laps of the track with a second car spaced half a lap away. Timing is raw times for each class with no indexed times. Entrants will be divided into two run groups. Each entrant will be paired with a car that is relatively matched to speed and driving skills. Each run group will cycle through work assignment and run group on the track. Each run group will get a minimum of three track sessions. Each car in a run group will be release by the starter with a safe distance between them. There will be no passing allowed.

SCHEDULE
0800 - 0900 Registration and Technical Inspection – Late reg & tech is available for off Island competitors
0900 - 0930 Course open for inspection and walk
0930 - 0945 Driver’s meeting
1000 - First set of cars on track
1330 - Last run group on track
1400 - Must be off site

ENTRY FEE $85.00 plus each entrant must hold a CACC Solosprint license

NOTICES
All entrants and spectators must sign the insurance waiver located at the registration desk prior to entering the track.
All drivers must present a valid driver’s license
All drivers must present a valid Solosprint license
Minors (under 19) must have a parent/guardian sign the standard release form. This must be signed by the guardian in person.
Helmets must bear a Snell 2000 or 2005 or 2010(M or SA) certification label.
Wheels/tires to be used during the event must be installed on the vehicle prior to inspection.
Please keep noise levels to a minimum and observe posted speed limits when traveling near the track.
Off Island competitors make a note on the VMSC forum or contact sanctioned at victoriamotorsports dot ca for late registration and tech. Catch the 7:00AM ferry which will allow for a 9:30AM arrival at Western. The event will be finished at 2:00PM which will allow for a 5:00PM ferry return to the mainland.

PASSENGERS
Passengers are not permitted.

NOISE LEVELS
All vehicles must be muffled with a maximum allowable sound level of 95dB. Entrants exceeding this limit will be given one warning, and will be permitted to make modifications to reduce sound. Entrants will be asked to leave if they cannot comply with this sound limit.

MULTIPLE DRIVER CARS
Multiple entrants may drive the same vehicle during a Solosprint with a maximum of two drivers per car entered and will be placed in a different group.

VOLUNTEERS
VMSC is a volunteer organization. We organize these events so that we may participate as well. As an entrant please offer your assistance, from tech inspection to track set up to take down. The easier the work is for the organizer the higher the likelihood of more events!

We always need volunteers to help get things set up in the morning! We specifically are looking for the following:

Track Setup

Just a note to anyone who is considering coming out and has not yet applied for their Solosprint license.

I spoke with the CACC licensing administrator regarding late license applications. You do not need to have your license in hand for the event. I will get a list of all Solosprint license holders that may have not received their license on August 24.

Anyone who is not sure about the licensing requirements, PM me and I'll be happy to help you.

So it is not too late to apply but do it soon!
