I have many fond memories of UBC's water jet!

Great Stuff Kevan!! Thoroughly enjoyed the EF voyage so far. =) I may want to employ your expertise to make me a battery tray sometime for the S.

Btw, Do you mind sharing some more info on the battery? Price/where to buy/etc. 2.4lb is pretty awesome!

Id be happy to help out! The battery is a ballistic 12 cell http://www.ballisticparts.com/product_i ... cts_id=426. Super cool little battery, and havent had any issues with cranking so far. You do need to balance charge it every now and then though to make sure it doesnt destroy itself.

I had a look at the shorai batteries as well and they look like quite nice units. The only issue I had with them was that you need to buy their charger to balance charge the batteries whereas the ballistic used a normal hobby battery charger which I already had. Otherwise they looked quite good to me

We use the shorai batteries on the Formula UBC car, they are awesome, but make sure you specify one large enough. You really don't want to run out in the middle of nowhere without a charger.

Also grabbed this nardi for cheap :) Needs a bit of leather care but is in good condition for the price!

Well after opening my hood to see my shocks covered in oil I realized it was time to replace them. Not fun with the poor dollar mixed with poor student finishing school :( Ahh well always fun to work on the car ;)

Old shocks have seen better days

Old vs new shock body, can you tell?

Excited to feel the difference this weekend at autocross!

^hope you are sending the old ones out for a rebuild... they may look ugly, but Koni's are made very well and can be brought back to life.

I have possible other plans for them.... Always wanted to try giving shock rebuilding and revalving a shot, plus is annoys me that koni have their shock rebuilding on lock down while bilstein opens it up to us to do our own rebuilds

Nice score Kevin. You'll enjoy having an LSD in the car now.

Oem synchros? Check my gtx build thread about aftermarket ones. I went over a bunch about checking the transmission internals over.

^^This. Although if you ordered through Syncrotech you should be OK, I believe they just carbon coat the OEM syncros. Like I mentioned when I sold you the transmission, definitely use feeler gauges to check the clearances between the gear and the syncros to make sure everything is within spec. Nothing worse than assembling and installing a transmission only to still have grinds.

Well I ended up buying a new tool, a big tool. Its more less a graduation present to myself, some people buy a car, I buy a cnc mill :)

Moving the machine over, 5500 lbs is a lot to have above your head

and all moved into its final home

The machine still needs some work to be running but hopefully will be working by mid summer.
