Here's my Youtube video (from the other thread) from Day 2:

A few photos of the car in "race" trim:

Kyle took over 2000 photos so they'll take awhile to process but I'm sure he'll post them as soon as he can!

thanks for them all Kyle. Great as always. I especially apreciate the photoshoot of the cars in race trim.

Once i sit and have a real good look through them all, I'd like to get some of them in a larger size. I'll msg you.

    FRIDAY

Friday morning... pre-6am at the border crossing, team UBCSCC assembles
    4886291685_e9c2a53a90_o.jpg
On the left, the car on the trailer is my E36 driven by Davey and I in DSP, next is Prab's silver M Coupe (not competed in), then Richard's supercharged M3 driven by Prab and Richard in SM, and finally Norm's Focus driven in FSP.

Friday morning, we arrive at Packwood
    4886291925_c390dedafc_o.jpg
This is about 2/3 of the covered "Paddock" area available

    4886894346_a3c8331e46_o.jpg
Davey and I get ready to unload my car off the trailer

    4886292483_229bcd4c51_o.jpg
While we wait for Norm & Richard to change their tires, Davey and I start putting the required decals on

    4886895132_5557047f1a_o.jpg
Davey wins the award for most luxurious hair while setting tire pressures in the paddock ;)

    4886895272_caf99c007e_o.jpg
Davey and I are ready for testing well before the other two cars so naturally things deteriorate from there...

    4886293539_7b7f886c2a_o.jpg
We almost kicked Norm out for having such ghetto numbers... yes those are printed on his printer and then packing taped to his car to ensure waterproofness...

    4886293767_f2d3787a91_o.jpg
Prab and Richard are getting the loaner race tires mounted on the M3, my old Civic magnetic numbers are coming in handy!

    "I'm a babe" -Dave

Norm getting ready to go test

    4886294067_44623e4985_o.jpg
Prab is supervising me supervising Richard finally getting some camber happening in his car to fit those big tires under his stock fenders

    Test N Tune

A bunch of testing happened at this point... really though the photos look exactly the same as the competition runs...

    Tech Inspection

    4886896266_b38608cbc9_o.jpg
Step #1, fight with tech inspectors about my sweet intercom helmet

    4886896360_f10010fc47_o.jpg
Dave steps in... all is good

    4886294525_7623c193d2_o.jpg
"WHAT SIZE are those tires?!?" -Tech Inspector

    4886896650_805cb9cca7_o.jpg
Richard and Prab barely passing through tech with all of Richard's hidden stereo equipment

After tech, time to walk the course, pack up for the night, and head to the cabin

    ... a BUNCH of drinking occurs ...

    4886896936_4c9462c880_o.jpg
We have all decided that ginger snaps are SO EPIC that you could not screw them up. Prab exclaims "They'd even still be good with red wine!" I decide to up the ante "They'd still be good with POTATO SALAD!!!" ... Kyle called our bluff and here we are.

    4886295057_c6ce0f909a_o.jpg
I have managed to convince Prab to try one with potato salad... reach in the bag... SO GOOD...

    4886897224_78460ec656_o.jpg
    Dave does not agree.

    4886295263_a5256b5e39_o.jpg
Prab decides he WILL learn how to make a charcoal BBQ work, and after MUCH swearing, the result is FIRE!

    4886295557_001ec5a725_o.jpg
    Home sweet cabin

"Would you kids keep it down, I have TV to watch!" -Norm

By now its past midnight and it's time for sleep, we all need to be up at 6am for course prep for the first day of competition!

    More to come.

    Norm's bottle opening adventures

While this is not chronologically correct to put this here, this was a major theme throughout the weekend. Norm claims he could open a bottle with ANYTHING. Naturally we decided to call him on that. I'll be damned if he didnt open every single one though!

if i recall it was the plastic handle of the philips screw driver, not the pointy end, that would be too easy.
and if i do recall, those beer were delicious and many were consumed.
