It sounds like the new students/ volunteers have recently followed up with Mazda and should have correspondence soon.

Contrary to popular belief, UBCSCC is still run by only 1-3 UBC students. There are a lot of people who show up on race day to help with the event itself, but that doesn't mean we do the real work.

Remember, this club is a huge opportunity and burden for those learning how to run an organization. Please offer a hand of support before a hand of need.

So it's 2020. This money from 2018 is 9 or 10 months late. Should we just assume it's never coming? An official statement might be nice....

    Hello everyone,

I apologize for the delay, but here is our current update for the 2018 and 2019 Mazda Contingency:

We have sent the 2018 data to Mazda, and they are in the middle of processing this. We should expect to receive the contingency money around mid-2020.
As for the 2019 Mazda Contingency, we are currently gathering the information needed before sending it over to Mazda.
  • FYI , I just got my 2018 cheque =) Many thanks

  • Yay for Mazda Canada got my 2018 check today. Thank you mazda Thank you UBCSCC.
